CALL TO ORDER

Ms. Amodio called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m.

WELCOME & INTRODUCTIONS

Ms. Amodio welcomed everyone to the meeting and thanked them for coming.

ACCEPTANCE OF THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING

There were no minutes available.

OLD BUSINESS

UPDATE ON STATUS OF DIRECTOR SEARCH

Ms. Amodio reported that she and Mr. Dupervil met with candidates for the position. She updated the Commissioners on the search.

REPORT ON INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS DAY AND MONTH ATRIUM & BROOKSIDE SCHOOL EVENTS

Ms. Amodio reported that they had a very nice day today at Brookside School. The Commissioners discussed the tree dedication that took place as well as placing commerative plaques.

Ms. Amodio appointed a Tree Dedication Ceremony sub-committee. Dr. Stabinsky and Ms. Mann will be on that sub-committee.

Ms. Amodio presented newspaper articles about the Human Rights Day event.

NEW BUSINESS

PLANNING FOR INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS DAY AND MONTH EXTENDED EVENT IN SPRING AT THE CARVER CENTER: BARBARA AMODIO

DATE, LOCATION & RSVP’S UPDATE FOR COMMISSION CHINESE NEW YEAR PARTY

Ms. Amodio said that the Chinese New Year party would take place in early February at the restaurant Jani in Norwalk. Everyone will be asked to RSVP in late January.

SUBCOMMITTEE SELECTIONS

Ms. Amodio asked everyone to think about which sub-committee they would like to serve on. The Commissioners held a discussion about sub-committee assignments. Mr. Ross said that he would like to finalize this discussion when the rest of the Commissioners were present.
