Minutes of February 10, 2004 Meeting
A motion to approve the minutes of the February 10, 2004 meeting was made by Mr. Lalime seconded by Dr. McNamara and was passed by a unanimous vote.

Food Establishment Rating Project
Mr. Callahan introduced this project. The implementation of a rating system is being proposed for several reasons. The pubic has expressed interest in the sanitary condition of food establishments, a survey of operators revealed that 67% support this idea and the Health Department believes that rating and publicizing the ratings will provide the owners incentive to better maintain the establishments.
Mr. Closter explained the workings of the rating system. A copy of the presentation is included with the minutes.
A group of food establishment owners will be asked to review the proposed system and comment. The finished product will be presented to the Board at the April meeting.
