TECHNOLOGY AND TELELCOMMUNICATION COMMITTEE MEETING ACTIONS

ATTENDANCE: Ed Schmidt, Gerald Foley, Larry Manzi, Dave
Lepus, Mike Yeosock, Kevin Poruban, Craig Reichenbach, John Lindquest, Tom
Schadlich,
David Wrinn, Chris Buswell, , Steve Mandas & Peter Berry (RCC), John Silbert,
Peter Berry reviewed the local provider Commhub (Marshall St, Norwalk) and their network solutions and capabilities.
RCC is targeting the draft of the network design for next week, but will provide the current working draft if the draft is not finished.
RCC will also provide the final network design in 2 weeks from today.
The matrix of buildings/sites was reviewed briefly, and some changes were made. Each committee member should review the matrix and email any suggested changes to Peter Berry and CC each committee member.
Steve Mandas reviewed the meeting with the Norwalk Hospital and his meeting/tour of the hospital. He said the hospital is willing to let the city use the roof for wireless communications and the hospital wants to be part of the MAN.
The hospital was also very interested in a trunked radio system. They are putting out an RFP for a trunked radio system, and we may be able to piggyback an RFP on top of the hospitals RFP.
The next meeting will be at 3pm in room 231 on May 7th, 2003.
