ITT COMMITTEE MINUTES
April 27, 2005


ATTENDANCE: Larry Manzi, Karen Del Vecchio, Frank Sarno, Gerald Foley, Dave Lepus, Tom Hamilton, Mike Dolhancryk, Rachelle Hayes, Mike Yeosock, Ed Toth, Steve Mandas.

Meeting was called to order at 3:05 pm

Minutes of the April 20th 2005 meeting was reviewed, and the minutes were unanimously approved.

City Telephone Solution Status: Karen Del Vecchio said the Police phone install is progressing with all floors completed except for the first floor. Testing on DID's is being done and they are on target.

RCC: Police Station & McMahon: No updates.

Status of Cabling RFP: No Updates, Tom Hamilton stated that we need to keep this project moving because it is a high priority.

Status of Copier Award: Gerald Foley said that it was approved by the Common Council. He will follow up with the law department who must execute the lease. Mr. Foley stated that he spoke to ICON about training and other issues about the police department.

Status of MAN: Karen Del Vecchio said Fibertech has cabled all pubilc schools in phase one, the transit district and the central station fire department. Gerald Foley asked if NEON was on the MAN, the committee seemed to think not but Karen Del Vecchio said she will check. Common Council has approved the wireless solution for the transfer station. There are no new updates on E-rate.

Training: Karen Del Vecchio said that she will talk with Paula Palermo about a possible outlook calendaring course and Paula has had requests for more Access training.

Customer Service Center: Karen Del Vecchio said that the workstations were in today but server and printer not in yet. Karen said that Hal Alvord was going to follow up with the Law department about the contract. Karen also inquired about headsets.

Miscellaneous/NewItems:

a) Policy on Payphones: no update.
b) HR and Time/Attendance system: Ed Toth said that the BOE has installed "time clock plus" time clocks upstairs and in some schools. Ed said that the software works with munis. There was a discussion on how the munis integration will work.
c) Firehouse software records module for dispatch: Frank Sarno said that a meeting is needed to discuss how to handle firehouse when dispatch is combined. Dave Lepus said that firehouse has a module that will allow data transfer from Nexgen into firehouse. Mike Dolhancryk said that the cutover will be slow and there will be ample time to get firehouse working. Dave Lepus said that FirstLookPro was purchased by the fire department and is designed to store pre-fire planning data and can be distributed to all laptops in the field. There was a general discussion about implementing this product and an enterprise wide solution for the future.
