ITT COMMITTEE MINUTES
Feburary 4, 2004
ATTENDANCE: Gerald Foley, Larry Manzi, Dave Lepus, Rick
Hayes, John Lindquist, Peter Berry, Bob Mcgregor, Paula Palermo, David Wrinn,
Armand Madeo,
Ed Schmidt, Tom Hamilton, Tom Schadlich, Mike Yeosock
Peter Berry discussed the MAN RFP presentation that he and John Lindquist gave on Thursday to the Land Use Committee. The presentation was well received by the Land Use Committee.
Ed Schmidt mentioned that Craig R. gave an overview of the MAN to BOE committee.
Form 471 BOE was filled out yesterday and will be signed and sent out today.
There will be a meeting this Monday with Diane (Law) to discuss
the creation of the contract for the MAN with DBO.
Peter Berry was recommended as the manager of the MAN implementation, and
was asked to create a fee structure for the different possiblities.
Peter Berry said he will have a draft of the RFP for the City Telephony Solution by next Wednesday, and the completed RFP the following week.
BOE was not present to discuss the Computer Tables, but Paula Palermo said she has seen
The tables and they looked like they would work out better than the old style.
Armand Madeo discussed the Backup and Recovery Project Status:
- Responses from 6 remaining vendors.
- Evaluation Committee meeting 2/5/2004 @ 10 a.m.
- Interviews for short list vendors scheduled for next week.
4. Will meet with Tom Hamilton to discuss the specifics of getting the project timeline set so it can be presented to the Finance Committee by next weeks meeting.
Armand Madeo discussed the Neoteris Remote Email Access Test Status:
- Test has been running for 2 weeks with about 50 users.
- No problems other than user errors.
- Upgrade Exchange Server to 2003 in the future will allow full capabilities.
- Will allow secure access to any browser based system, which will do away with the need for distributing laptops and VPN setup.
Paula Palermo will be giving two more training courses in Feburary:Word and Excel
Department heads were sent Email notices of these upcoming courses.
