ATTENDANCE: Gerald Foley, Larry Manzi, Dave Lepus, Kevin
Poruban, John Lindquist, Peter Berry, Chris Buswell, Paula Palermo, David
Wrinn, Armand Madeo,
Mike Latessa, Ed Toth, Mike Yeosock
Peter Berry discussed the MAN RFP status and the changes
proposed for Erate optimization. Peter spoke with Jane Kellogg and stated
that the Schools should be section one of the RFP and the city etc should
be section two. Peter said he would have the adjustments to the RFP completed
by next Wednesday.
Peter also said that separate RFPs for telecommunications could be put out
the same time as the form 470 is submitted.
Peter Berry briefly reviewed the current projects RCC are
working on.
Ed Toth stated that all Dell PCs are ready to be installed and the BOE is
waiting for Rowayton School Principal to get back to him.
Ed Toth reviewed the current requisitions for hardware and software.
Six Dell PowerEdge servers are being requested at 8,650 each.
10 eMac's are being requested for a Photo Lab class at Briggs
School.
It was suggested that Armand Mateo and Ed Toth review pricing for the eMac's
and the Dell servers.
Armand Mateo discussed the City backup/recovery progress and told the committee that he will be meeting with Tom Hamilton to discuss the specifics.
