City Telephone Solution Recommendation: Steve Mandas said they are continuing to have weekly phone coordination meetings. Karen Del Vecchio spoke with SBC about getting new exchanges for the City and found that we can reserve the blocks of numbers we want but we will have to pay for all of them even if only a few are live.
RCC: Police Station & McMahon: Steve said they are identifing phone services for McMahon and the Police Station and working on trunk level usage and final design. There is a pre-bid meeting for data electronics in McMahon next week.
Status of MAN: Karen Del Vecchio said that we are still in the contract negotiations with DBO and there are a few outstanding items to work out. There will be a meeting with DBO on Friday with the goal of producing a contract that both parties can sign. Still no news from Erate, but after a brief hold on reviewing all application, they are back to reviewing and awarding.

discontinued, and she will look into the 3 year and 4 year contracts.

City Website – Where do we go from here?
Karen Del Vecchio provided the committee a copy of the letter she sent to
Mayor Knopp.
The letter explained where we should look to go to improve the website.
How the website should serve business and the community. Karen suggested that
a steering committee be created to determine the needs of city departments
and users. Then to develop a strategy for meeting those needs. Also Karen
suggested that we may want to change the organization of the website which
is currently geared towards the taxpayer, and customize it to the user as
in MyYahoo.
Allowing the user to customize specific areas of interest . Karen asked all
committee members to review the letter and to provide any feedback.
Andrew Bess and Jack Schneider from the Maritime Aquarium expressed interest in being connected to the MAN. There was discussion about where the MAN runs and how they could be connected. They are currently not part of the planned MAN. They will follow up with Steve Mandas.
The meeting adjourned at 3:33 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Larry Manzi
