Mike Pensiero (Stamford IT) reviewed the Techcycle program. Techcycle is a program that solicits computer contributions and recycles them to students who might not have the ability to purchase a computer. The Chamber of Commerce, BOE and Cox Radio all play a part in keeping this program going. Donated machines have to meet a minimum standard and are built by a student, then distributed to a student based on a needs assessment. Parent and student must attend a workshop to pick up PC. The Techcycle program has been a great success with over 200 PC's distributed to date. Mike suggested we work with the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce to initiate this program in Norwalk.

Respectfully submitted
