SECRETARY
Commissioner Frank reports on public hearing sponsored by the commission on
the 20th and DEP hearing a week later. Harbor Mgmt read excellent comment
into the record asked for water testing as old cables are removed, and asked
for daily reports to Harbormaster.
Two new applications have come in.
One:Manning at Yarmouth rd, as dock permitted about a year ago was destroyed
in storm. Current application is by Halts, for much larger project. Chair
will review and report to commission at next meeting
Two: Shakely at 5 Cudlipp. For long pier, ramp and float up where there is
no water at low tide.
Application is by Mr Bajek and Chair will review and report next month.
Mr O’Connor and Mr Santa were present to talk about O’Connor’s application
for a pier, ramp & dock at Nathan Hale Rd, just south of Norwalk Yacht
club property. Problem with application is entire project would lie on lease
bed #201, owned by Norm Bloom. Mr Bloom has suggested some changes in the
design that he could live with, as long as winter removal was guaranteed.
Mr. O’Connor and Mr Santa (his agent) feel project can be relocated off lease
bed 201 and would prefer relocation over any major change in project design.
Mr Santa will prepare new plans and send them to chair for review and will
present best version to commission at next meeting.
