application 2008-016-SJ & ACOE NAE-2008-034090 Letter from agent
John Hilts to DEP & ACOE with revised drawings and additional information
for the bank stabilization and bulkhead remediation project. Project
initially reviewed by NHMC in February and found consistent with the
Harbor Management Plan.
2. 2008-08: SoNo Landing Associates, 90 Water Street, Norwalk Application
to CT DEP & ACOE for construction of a commercial boat docking facility.
Proposed work includes construction of a 3’ x 3’ x 4’ concrete landing,
a 3’ x 27’ aluminum ramp, 3’ x 8’ timber landing float, a 6’ x 106’
timber floating dock supported by 9 anchor pilings, and 5 finger piers
to berth 10 boats. The waterward end of the finger piers will be approximately
26’ from the 10’ setback to the Federal Channel. Space will be provided
at the southern end of The facility for berthing the Norwalk Police
patrol boat.
3. 2008-09: Rowayton Yacht Club, 77 Bluff Avenue, Rowayton Application
to DEP & ACOE for work at the same in the waters of Wilson Cove.
Proposed work includes repairs to an existing, deteriorated timber pier;
replacement of an existing aluminum ramp with a 4 x 60 ramp to provide
a safer angle at low tide; and replacement of 4 damaged floats with
3 new floats 10 x 25’; and relocation of an existing “fish station”.

2. CT DEP Notice of Violation: Robert & Karen Lehn, 9 Tonetta Circle,
Norwalk NOV #LIS2007-085-V Installed and maintained two concrete pads,
two 5 x 15’ floats, one 8.5 x 12’ float; one 8.5 x 6’ float, all waterward
of an existing seawall. Work done without authorizations.
3. CT DEP Notice of Violation: Clifford St. John & Sons, LLP, 11
Tonetta Circle NOV #LIS2007-086-V Installed structures waterward of
authorized seawall: 14 x 25 fixed pier; 3 x 24 ramp,
and four floats of 1.5 x 8’; 4.75 x 38’; 4.5 x 25’; 4.5 x 12.5’. Work
done without
authorizations.
