III Old Business
1. Authorize the Mayor, Richard A. Moccia to enter into an agreement with the Norwalk Exchange Club for an event “Pork in the Park” Barbecue Contest and Blues Festival to be held at Cranbury park Friday – Sunday, August 7,8,9, 2009. Friday, August 7, 2009 from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Saturday, August 8, 2009 from 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM and Sunday, August 9, 2009 from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Set up to take place on Wednesday, August 6, 2009 at 9:00 AM with break down no later than 5:00 PM on Monday, August 10, 2009. Estimated attendance 8,000 – 10,000 over the course of the event.
IV New Business
1. Approve the use of Witch Park by the Rowayton Civic Association for parking (50 Cars) during their annual River Ramble to be held on Saturday, July 19, 2008.
2. Approve the use of the grounds around the Lockwood Mathews Museum for their Annual Victoria Ice Cream Social to be held on Sunday, July 13, 2008 from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Estimated attendance 400.
3. Approve the use of Veterans Park/Ryan Park by Character under Construction for the use of the Basketball Courts for a “Shoot Hoops not Guns” Tournament to be held Saturday, June 21, 2008 from 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM with a rain date of Saturday, July 5, 2008. Estimated attendance 150-225.
4. Approve the use of Shady Beach by the Nitty Gritty Group for a picnic to be held on Sunday, July 13, 2008 from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Estimated attendance 100.
5. Approve the use of the Show Mobile for the Main/Wall Street Festival by POKO Partners scheduled for June 7, 2008 from 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
6. Approve the use of the Cranbury Park Pavilion and the immediate surrounding grounds by the Senior Center for their Annual Picnic to be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008 with a rain date of Friday, September 5, 2008. Estimated attendance 200.
7. Approve the use of Veteran’s Park by the Side by Side School for a field day to be held on Friday, June 6, 2008 from 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM. Estimated attendance 250.
8. Authorize the Mayor, Richard A. Moccia to enter into an agreement with the South Norwalk Community Center, Inc. to use the grounds of Columbus School for their Annual Summer Camp to be held Monday, July 7, 2008 through Friday, August 15, 2008 from 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM. Estimated attendance 125.
9. Approve the use of the Cranbury Park Pavilion and the immediate surrounding grounds by Eastman Kodak Company for a Company BBQ to be held Monday, June 9, 2008 from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Estimated attendance 130.
10. Approve the use of the Cranbury Park Pavilion and the immediate surrounding grounds by Tauck World Discovery for a Company Family Picnic to be held Wednesday, July 16, 2008 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Estimated attendance 150-200.
11. Authorize the Mayor, Richard A. Moccia to execute any and all documents with the United States Tennis Association to apply, accept and implement a Capital Grant for the Roodner Court Tennis Facility. The purpose of the grant is to provide and develop the growth of tennis. The Capital Grant being submitted is for $16,000.00. The program is a 50% match with funding available in Account #0907-6030-5777-C0321.
12. Approve the use of Andrews Field Parking area by Stew Leonard’s for over flow parking for staff on the busiest days at the store for 1008.

13. A) Authorize the Mayor, Richard A. Moccia to enter into an agreement with Field Turf Tarkett for the installation and removal of the Artificial Surface at the Shea-McGrath Complex at Norwalk High School for a sum not to exceed $457,560.00 Account Capital Project 2008-09 account to be determined.
B) Authorize the Director of Recreation and Parks to issue change orders on contract to Field turf Tarkett not to exceed $22,878.00 Capital Project 2008-09 account to be determined.
14. Authorize the Mayor, Richard A. Moccia to execute the contract documents
related to the Grant in Aid from the State of Connecticut, Department of Environmental
Protection for the project known as “Federal Dredging of Norwalk Harbor” together
with any and all other documents that may be necessary or appropriate in order
to carry out the terms and obligations set forth in such grant documents.
