CONTRACTS OR TO ACCEPT BIDS AND OTHER PROPOSALS REQUIRING THE EXPENDITURE
OF CITY FUNDS ARE SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.
Mayor Moccia called the meeting to order at 8:05pm and led the assembly in
the Pledge of Allegiance.

B. REMARKS
Mayor Moccia talked about the disaster exercise that took place last week
and thanked all those involved in organizing this event and thanked Council
members who attended.
V. COUNCIL PRESIDENT
A. GENERAL COUNCIL BUSINESS
Council President Coffey thanked all the City employees who were involved
in organizing the disaster exercise, reverse 911.
B. CONSENT CALENDAR: The following items are on consent: VI.A1, 2; VI.B1;

VI. REPORTS: DEPARTMENTS, BOARD AND COMMISSIONS
A. BOARD OF ESTIMATE AND TAXATION
1. RESOLVED, that a sum not to exceed $75,000 be and the same is hereby transferred from Contingency to the Personnel and Labor Relations Department to pay for Contract negotiation and arbitration. (Account No. 01-0700-5258). Resolved
2. RESOLVED, that a sum not to exceed $61,640 be and the same is hereby transferred
from Contingency to the Library Dept. to pay for emergency replacement of
the Library’s elevator hydraulic system. (Account No. 01-6200-5774). Resolved

1. RESOLUTION, Appropriating $18,875 for the Fort Point Interceptor Server Sewer emergency repair change orders from the WPCA Fund Balance. (Project Account No. 22-4062-5298). Approved
B. FINANCE COMMITTEE
1. Accept and approve the report of the Claims Committee dated April 12, 2007. Accepted & Approved

6. Authorize the Mayor, Richard A. Moccia, to submit an application to the State of Connecticut for grant funds provided under the State of Connecticut’s Local Capital Improvement Fund for 2007 Entitlement ($628,640.00). Authorized
7. Authorize the Mayor, Richard A. Moccia, to execute a contract with DB&R Consulting, LLC, to provide risk management consulting services for the remainder of FY 2006-07 and for FY 2007-08, for an amount not to exceed $72,000 per year. Account #169010-5258. Authorized
C. PLANNING COMMITTEE
1a. Approve a temporary easement and license with GEOTECHNICAL Firm, Dr. Clarence Welti, P.E., P.C. for purposes of soil borings, soil samples, and geotechnical analysis. Approved
1b. Authorize the legal department to provide an easement and license agreement
for said purposes.
