NORWALK, CONNECTICUT 8:00PM EST, COUNCIL CHAMBERS
ALL COMMON COUNCIL ACTIONS TAKEN AT THIS MEETING TO APPROVE EXPENDITURES AND
CONTRACTS OR TO ACCEPT BIDS AND OTHER PROPOSALS REQUIRING THE EXPENDITURE OF
CITY FUNDS ARE SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.
The Mayor opened the meeting by leading the assembly in reciting the Pledge
of Allegiance. Then he asked the Common Council to reflect on the loss of life
from the Tsunami and earth quake that occurred in South Asia and also to reflect
on the death of Officer Peter Lavery who was the fourth officer to die in 2005.

for civil engineering services due to existing subsurface drainage system inconsistencies,

Knopp, to execute a contract for Comprehensive Needs Assessment of the Norwalk Fire Department with the Matrix Consulting Group for a total amount not to exceed $55,000.00. Acct. #'s 09-033110 5777 C0250 $25,000.00 Capital Account & 01-315305254 $30,000.00 Operating Account. Authorized
2. Authorize the Purchasing Agent to issue a Purchase Order to Northeastern Communications to provide 9 Motorola HT1000 portable radios with vehicle chargers and shoulder microphones for a sum not to exceed $11,416.50.Seventy per cent of the funds to be provided by Federal Grant and 30% from Fire Department Acct # 0131205341. Authorized
3a. Approve and authorize the procurement of Language Line Services, Inc. Agreement for Language Line and Interpreter Services with the City of Norwalk. Approved
3b. Authorize the Mayor, Alex A. Knopp, to execute any and all documents including purchasing agreements and contracts necessary or desirable to effectuate the purchase of the above-listed services on behalf of the Norwalk Emergency Management Department of the City of Norwalk. Authorized

1. Approve the renaming and renumbering of a portion of Styles Lane to the

C. LAND USE AND BUILDING MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
1. Approve the designation of the Meadow Street Fire Station roof replacement project to be under the Jurisdiction of NFCC. Approved
2a. Authorize the Mayor, Alex A. Knopp, to execute a contract with Phil's Main Roofing, LLC for the Meadow Street Fire Station roof replacement project for a total not to exceed $94,000.00. Acct. # 09053110 5777 C0312 Authorized
2b. Authorize the Office of Building Management to issue change orders on contract for a total not to exceed $6,000.00 Authorized
3. Authorize the Mayor, Alex A. Knopp, to execute any and all documents necessary
with Connecticut Light and Power Company (CL&P) through the Conservation
and Load Management Fund, to apply, accept and implement an Energy Efficiency
Services Project for energy conservation measures at Norwalk City Hall. The
estimated total project cost is $140,690 and C L &P's incentive is estimated
to be $74,950. Authorized
