To encourage residents to prepare and to help community organizations and businesses help their clients, volunteers and employees prepare, the Norwalk Fire Department has Plan 9 water bottles. Bottles will be distributed at presentations and safety events such as the Open house on October 4 and are available on request.

Contact: 854-0238 to request a Plan 9 presentation for your group this fall.

What is the Notify Norwalk service?

The Notify Norwalk service allows authorized civic leaders to create and rapidly disseminate time-sensitive messages to every telephone number stored in the notification database. With the Notify Norwalk service, authorized users can send thousands of messages in minutes. Only authorized officials are allowed access to the system. The database for the City of Norwalk currently consists of listed numbers, to add additional contact information for your household (cell phone, TTY, e-mail, etc) or to add your unlisted number and additional points of contact to our database, please register.

These short videos have been produced by DeafLink for the State of Texas. While much of the information contained in each preparedness video is generic, there may be an occasional reference to Texas and the Gulf of Mexico. Deaflink utilizes state-of-the-art technology, the internet, and American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters who are national- and state-certified for the purpose of providing "clear communication" access for the deaf.
