The Norwalk Concert Hall was created through the financial contributions and efforts of the City of Norwalk, the State of Connecticut, the United States Surgical Corporation, and music lovers throughout the area. It exists to serve the musical aspirations of the community and the needs of the City government for a large acoustically excellent space. Use of the Concert Hall shall support the above purposes and enhance the reputation of the Concert Hall as a site for the display of cultural excellence.

The Mary McCarthy Room, which adjoins the Concert Hall, was renovated through a grant through the Department of Economic Development, resulting in an exquisite rehearsal room with dressing areas for conductors/soloists. The area under the stage has been renovated to include dressing areas/bathrooms for performers as well as a green room.
