With the reopening of schools, the City will institute another Slow Down week, with the theme of “Drive 25 Keep the Kids Alive”. There will be extra enforcement patrols on the street for the rest of the week. The emphasis of this slow down will be again on speeding but also a close monitoring of the illegal passing of school buses when they are stopped to pick up or drop off the students. We are continuing our efforts to slow people down in Norwalk not just this week but the for the entire year. This is a priority for this administration and the Chief of Police Harry Rilling and the Norwalk Police.
