Based on a suggestion
from a resident of Norwalk, Mary Lavins, the City of Norwalk website now has the
ballot for upcoming election available for review. As Mary pointed out this will
allow people to find in advance the appearance of the ballot and an opportunity
to review the candidates and the positions that are being contested. Also as many
younger people’s prime source of information is the computer, this will give them
an opportunity to study the ballot in advance. For the first time voters who may
be nervous about stepping into a voting booth, a review will make them more comfortable
when they cast their vote.
The site also gives information about Voters Districts and other pertinent information.
I wish to express my thanks to Mary for her suggestion that will hopefully encourage
more citizens to vote.
