**MEDIA ADVISORY**

City to implement “STOP and DROP” weapon drop off program, offers way for residents to remove weapons from their homes to help curb violence.

Mayor Richard A. Moccia & Police Chief Harry Rilling will announce at a press conference tomorrow, Friday, November 17, 2006, at 3:00 PM outside the front of City Hall a new initiative for residents to help make Norwalk safer.

In addition, Mayor Moccia will be calling for this weekend to be a weekend of prayer as members of the faith community are working in conjunction with the city to help spread the message to stop the violence.
