    Music & Entertainment Event Schedule A celebration of the life and music of John Lennon is among the highlights of this year’s First County Bank Summer Concert Series at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk. Other performances pay tribute to Jimmy Buffett, Johnny Cash, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Neil Diamond and The Eagles. Popular regional rock & roll bands for classic car shows include Tim Currie’s Motown Band Review. Open Mic Night at Freese Park, Join us for music and entertainment every evening from Tuesday through Sunday.

  3. “Walk with Us” September 5th

    September 5, 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM @ Starts Community Health Center

    “Walk with Us” – Mayor Rilling and his wife Lucia invite you to join them every Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. for a walk. The next walk will be Saturday, September 5th. Join them for the South Norwalk Loop #3, which begins at 8 a.m. at the Community Health Center on Hanford Place. It is a 1.5 mile loop on the NorWalker Map, shown on the City’s website www.norwalkct.org. Parking is convenient at the Police Station lot and the route is all sidewalks.

Amelia’s Florist and Farm Market (Hamden, CT) will bring a variety of fruits and vegetables for purchase at the market this year. Space is available for additional vendors offering healthy foods.

  3. Norwalk’s Economic Development Action Plan - Press Release

    On Wednesday, September 2nd at 11 am in Room 231 at City Hall, Mayor Harry W. Rilling will release Norwalk’s Economic Development Action Plan. Norwalk is planning for the future by capitalizing on its assets to attract and sustain business, create jobs, develop its workforce, and continuously improve the quality of life for residents, workers, small business owners and visitors. The Economic Development Action Plan identifies specific initiatives that can yield important economic benefits. The plan identifies time lines for action; it assigns responsibilities and outlines progress made to date. Mayor Rilling said “This is a living, dynamic document that will be used as a reference and guide for Boards, Commissions and Department Head meetings.
