The Norwalk Health Department Farmers Market is back! Starting this Wednesday, July 2, Norwalk community members can get fresh, locally grown produce each Wednesday in the Health Department parking lot (137 East Avenue) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market will run until November 5. Health experts recommend that we get five servings of fruits and vegetables every day, and summertime is a great season for fresh produce. Killam and Bassette Farmstead (South Glastonbury, CT) will bring a variety of fruits and vegetables for purchase at the market again this year. They accept cash, credit, Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) vouchers. Space is available for additional vendors offering healthy foods.

With five albums produced between nineteen eighty nine and nineteen ninety eight, and over four million records sold, Toad The Wet Sprocket left an indelible mark on the radio waves of the 1990’s. They struck a chord with audiences through an expert mix of pop songwriting, mellower acoustic feel, and the anxious urgency of grunge. Despite disbanding in nineteen ninety eight, Glenn Phillips, Todd Nichols, Dean Dinning, and Randy Guss have continued to work and perform together. In 2009, Toad The Wet Sprocket officially reformed and hit the ground running; writing, performing, and releasing two albums in 2013. This new, reformed Toad has taken a fresh, DIY approach to it’s production and release, putting out music for free and crowdsourcing the funds for recording and pressing. They’ve adapted as readily to the current climate of the music ind
