Over the recent years, staff of the Norwalk Fire Dept and City have been working with the architect to design a building that will meet the needs of the new fire station and EOC for our current needs and for years to come. The new fire station will be LEEDS Silver certified. We have received a $1M FEMA grant for the Emergency operations Center on the first floor as well as meeting, office and additional conference spaces for the social services EOC, call centers and media briefing areas.
We realize many residents have questions about the project and it is our goal to be transparent and open throughout this construction project. Below is the case statement for the new station as well as floor plans for the new site.
