Become a Professional Dispatcher
Personnel Selection
Selection of dispatch personnel is coordinated through the following departments:

Process
To become a dispatcher, you must:
  1. Complete an online application when we have an available position
  2. Complete an entrance exam, interview, and background investigation
  3. If selected, undergo training through the state’s Telecommunicator Training Program
  4. Undergo in-house training at Combined Dispatch

After successful completion of all phases and a probationary period, you will become a certified telecommunicator.
