Norwalk Transfer Station & Recycling Center

Regulations

All 2013 resident passes expire March 31, 2014. All residential vehicles entering the Norwalk Transfer Station or the Yard Debris Site are required to have a valid City of Norwalk Recreation and Parks Resident Pass displayed on their dashboard.  Residential vehicles without a current pass will not be allowed to enter either facility. Non-commercial pickup trucks, vans, and cars with trailers require a Residential Permit and City of Norwalk Recreation and Parks Resident Pass.
 
Disposal Fees
Please be advised that any residential vehicle dumping without a City of Norwalk Recreations and Parks Resident Pass will have to pay a fee of $20 per dump. Any pickup truck, van, or vehicle pulling a trailer that does not have a permit will have to pay either $20 or the tip fee for the material, whichever is higher. Proof of residency is required. Payment of check or charge only, cash is not accepted at The Transfer Station or Yard Waste Site. Solid Waste Fees

Commercial Transfer Station Permit & Renewal
Commercial Permits and renewal for the Transfer Station are available at City Hall 125 East Avenue by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, call (203) 854-7831. 

Disposal Hours        
    Transfer Station/Recycling Center: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
    Saturday, 7:00 am - 2:00 pm
