The Yard Waste Site is located at 15 South Smith Street.
Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Saturday 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Scale closes daily from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
The Yard Waste Site will be closed
for the season on December 20, 2013 at the end of business day and will re-open
for business on Monday, March 31, 2014. The site may be open in the winter on Wednesdays, weather permitting and at the sole discretion of the Department of Public Works.
Please be advised that any residential vehicle dumping without a City of Norwalk Recreations and Parks Resident Pass
will have to pay either $20 or the tip fee for the material, whichever is higher.
Payment of check or charge only, cash is not accepted at the Transfer Station or Yard Waste Site.
Any pickup truck, van, or vehicle pulling a trailer that does not have a permit will have to pay either $20 or the tip fee for the material, whichever is higher. Proof of residency is required. For more information on fees contact Customer Service at (203) 854-3200.

Christmas Tree Collection Schedule during the month of January
Christmas Tree Collection: NO PLASTIC BAGS OR DECORATIONS
Trees will be collected twice during the month of January 2014, the weeks of January 6 – 10 and January 20 – 24.
Have trees curbside by 6 AM on the MONDAY
of the above collection weeks.
The yard waste site will be open from January 6th through 10th and January 20th through 24th, 2014 for Christmas tree and yard waste drop off.
