Special Annoucement: Monday Men's Softball has one schedule change for 8-11-08: ACME Vs. Stew Leonard will now play at 7:00pm on C3 also Coed beach Volleyball Schedules for the remaining season for Tuesday & Wednesday are posted below in This Week in Sports: City Tournament will start on Tuesday August 19th. Please check below for times.  Please call 854-7938 or come back to the website for the update.  All Teams are responsible for all updates, the easiest way is to follow the updated schedule on this page below. When changes are being made it is updated immediately. ATTENTION ALL BABE RUTH 13 YEAR OLD ALLSTAR PARTICIPANTS: Special Announcement: The Sharkey Laureno Tournament schedule. Thursday: 5:30pm at Cubeta versus Greenwich. Any problems please contact me.

ATTENTION All ADULT SOFTBALL & COED VOLLEYBALL TEAMS: There are a couple of issue's that need to be addressed before they get out of hand.

1. Teams are not allowed to drink before or during their games, This goes for starters, scorekeepers, sub's, during the game if your team is playing: NO DRINKING.

2. Coaches are responsible for keeping spectators away from their bench area, Umpire's have also been asked to enforce.

3. Any player who is caught drinking or is intoxicated during the game will be dismissed from playing the rest of the season. The team will also forfeit that game.

4. If a team is caught a second time they will lose there right to complete the season with loss of all league fee's.

The other problem we have is players who feel that they can urinate anywhere at Calf Pasture Beach besides the bathroom. The Cheif of Police & The Mayor are very aware with this problem and want me to act quickly in solving it.

1. A Player caught urinating in any part of Calf pasture & shady beach will be thrown out of the league for the season: The team will also forfeit their next scheduled game.      

2.If another player from that very team is caught: that team will lose their right to complete the season and loss of all league fee's.

The police department will also be supervising this and be handing out tickets and Recreation will be putting on extra supervision to conteract these two problems.

ATTENTION ALL SOFTBALL TEAMS: Smitty's Softball has clinched The Monday Night East Division Regular Season Championship by defeating Artech 11-5, Congratulations to Smitty's Softball.

The Thursday Night Women's League's O'Neill's Pub/BJ Ryans have clinched with a perfect 14-0 record the Regular Season Title. Congratulations to O'Neill's Pub/BJ Ryans.

ATTENTION ALL COED BEACH VOLLEYBALL TEAMS: Special Annoucement: All Coed Beach Volleyball Taems are responsible for all make-ups through the course of the season. Especially after a rain-out, teams must go to this site the very next day and look in This Week in Sports for their make-up date and times. Most make-ups will take place on Monday Nights. We give every team one opportunity to make up their games. If a team cannot field a team please contact me so I can notify the other team and refferee's and will just be charged for the loss. If teams just don't show they will get charged for the loss and have to pay $30.00 to the Officials.

ATTENTION MEN'S INDUSTRIAL SOFTBALL TEAMS: Congratulations to Reed Expo for winning The Industrial League State Championship for the 2008 Season. The local Company defeated Milford Fire Department by a sore of 12-6 to win its 1st State Title. Norwalk Recreation & Parks again Congratulates your team in representing the town of Norwalk.

ATTENTION MEN'S WOOD BAT SOFTBALL TEAMS: Congratulations to Jacoby Maintenance for winnig The Wood Bat State Championship for the 2008 Season. The locals defeated The Unknowns on Sunday at East Village Park in Shelton by a score of 5-1. Jacoby's finished 4-0 during this 8 team double elimination tournament. Norwalk's Jacoby Maintenance is the 1st ever State Champion in Wood Bat  Division. Norwalk Recreation & Parks again Congratulates your team on 1st ever Championship.
