| The Norwalk Historical Commission
cordially invites you to join us on Friday, February 24th,
5:30 - 7 PM, at the Norwalk Museum to celebrate the success of
the Angry Waters exhibit. The exhibit, created by the Norwalk Historical
Society with the cooperation of the Norwalk Museum and the generous
support of Norwalk businesses, closes at the end of this month.
The closing party on the 24th will feature "Dolly Curtis Interviews
... The Flood of 1955 - October 15 - Norwalk-Stamford, CT"
the Public Access program she and her longtime partner/cameraman
Victor Cromwell did this year on the flood of 1955, including dramatic
flood footage shot by Victor Cromwell for CBS news in 1955. Mr Cromwell,
a Norwalk resident, has been the cameraman for Dolly's show for
the past 20 years and was the cameraman for CBS News at the time
of the flood.
Please join the Norwalk Historical Commission to take another look
at the "angry waters" of the Norwalk River as they surged
through our town that memorable October night of 1955.
Dolly Curtis and Gail Wall and many of the Historical Society members
who worked on the Flood exhibit, "Angry Waters, the Norwalk
Flood of 1955," will be here for the closing party. Come and
visit with all of us and take the opportunity to step into time
with the Dunne hardware store installation and the other museum
exhibits.
