Enfield PD discussed their onsite. They had 2 applied discretions & 4 file maintenance issues. Advised they had a good team of assessors. D/C Bouchard suggests continuing holding facility training/ fire suppression beyond FTO, preferably annually. Can be accomplished by roll-call training.
CSP is currently undergoing their own onsite. Calling hours are Monday 042604 0900-1700 866-593-1363.
NEW BUSINESS
CALEA:
Ted Lemay, Program Manager from CALEA discussed the Pasadena conference. New
standard 41.28, mental illness compliance by March 2005. He further suggests anyone with
an onsite in the next few months should not attempt to prepare this standard. Ted advises
to limit off-site standards to the prepared list, even if team asks for additional files.
LESAP (calea computer software) training will be held at the Buffalo conference, workshops
at the Austin conference.
Meriden PD will hold its mock onsite on Wednesday 042804, after having successfully completed their "mock" mock onsite, when Norwalk PD arrived on 041504 because they hadnt been notified of the date change.
STATE ACCREDITATION
POST will announce the new Field Director around the middle of May.
