MEETING MINUTES

ATTENDING: Norwalk, CCSU, Manchester, Wethersfield, State Capitol, Suffield, UCONN, New Canaan, Granby, Farmington, Avon, Stamford, Berlin, Shelton, Monroe, Glastonbury

Meeting followed tour of new Farmington Police Headquarters. Holiday Luncheon followed meeting in Farmington.

Treasurer’s Report - No major expenditures. Dues noticed for 2002 will be mailed in early January.

Secretary’s Report - Minutes accepted

Policy Subcommittee
Committee continuing to work on model policies. Final drafts expected at January meeting.

November CALEA conference
Linda Carlin, Farmington PD attended San Diego conference. Will provide info on SIRC and training issues from conference at January meeting.

State Accreditation
Training conducted at POST on December 6th. Still working towards POST taking over state program in their budget. Departments still awaiting onsites and program moving forward.

On Sites
Chief Whalen reported on onsite assessment conducted at Woodbridge NJ Police

Elections
Election of CONNPAC officers for 2002.

Next meeting scheduled for January 9, 2002 - 9:30am - Manchester Police.

I-91 to I-84 East Bound

I-84 east to exit 60, take a right at the bottom of the exit, heading eastbound.

Get in the left turn lane; dogleg onto West Middle Turnpike, in front of Cheney Tech High School. Bear Right at next 2 traffic lights.

Continue eastbound on Middle Turnpike approximately 5 miles.

MPD will be on the left beyond Manchester High School (right side) and Illing Middle School (left side, next door)
