Secretary’s Report - Minutes accepted

Policy Subcommittee
Chief Whalen distributed model policies for review. They will also be posted on website and discussed and finalized at March meeting.

November CALEA conference
Linda Carlin, Farmington PD attended San Diego conference and provided training info and handouts as well as SIRC report. 35.1.2 added to commentary; 45.2.2. added community involvement to commentary; 41.3.8, added new bullet ref: closed circuit television.

State Accreditation
CPCA to enter alliance with CALEA. POST looking to obtain grant funding to staff position to oversee program. State committee meets the 1st Friday of odd months. Next meeting in March.

CALEA Jacksonville Conference
Issues for Jacksonville conference should be brought to March meeting.

Training/CALEA Attendance at CONNPAC
Ted LeMay from CALEA will attend the April CONNPAC meeting which will be moved to Monday, April 8th at Manchester Police. Mr. LeMay will present a powerpoint training seminar on the new OnSite Assessment process.

Elections
Election of CONNPAC officers for 2002-2003 will take place at June meeting. Nominations to be received in May. President and Vice-President positions will be open. Treasurer and Secretary will run again and continue in positions if no other members wish to nominate for these positions.

Next meeting scheduled for March 13, 2002 - 11:15am - Manchester Police.

I-91 to I-84 East Bound

I-84 east to exit 60, take a right at the bottom of the exit, heading eastbound.

Get in the left turn lane; dogleg onto West Middle Turnpike, in front of Cheney Tech High School. Bear Right at next 2 traffic lights.

Continue eastbound on Middle Turnpike approximately 5 miles.

MPD will be on the left beyond Manchester High School (right side) and Illing Middle School (left side, next door)
