Meeting called to order at 9:30am
$3,392.09 balance.Treasurer Report:
New Business: MMSC to spend up to $1000 to send President Bouchard to Birmingham, AL CALEA Conference. Anticipated expenses are about $750. Unanimously approved.
Guilford to be accredited in Birmingham,. Judicial Marshals are due for April onsite and Boston Conference in July.
Off Smith retired from CCSU Police. She was Accreditation Manager and longtime PAC member. Gift certificate sent to Karin from PAC and Thanks you received by PAC.
Ray Bouchard reported that all recruits at the POST Academy will begin to receive training on CALEA and State Accreditation Program. This will give them an understanding of the programs and fulfill requirements in standards. Ray will be conducting the training.
Ray Bouchard reported that Connecticut was asked to assist with training for the Boston CALEA Conference in July. Several instructors and programs were forwarded to CALEA for possible use at Boston Conference.
Discussion of problems associated with Federal Concealed Carry law for retired officers.
Old Business: Hartford was rejected as site for CALEA Conference in favor of Montreal. PAC may seek to rebid in the future and is hopeful that PAC members will be supportive and work together to seek approval for future bid.
Chief needed to film CEO portion of CALEA PAC video. Tom Kulhawik believes Chief Rilling would agree to film the CEO portion and will make confirm and make arrangements to complete it.

John Leonard from the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) reported on their review for alliance with CALEA. Ray Bouchard reported on problems with duplicate Training Academy Standards in reference to having POST Accredited. He is continuing work on this program. SOFTWARE - Discussion regarding CASE updates (CALEA Software) and vendor for State Accreditation software. Ray Bouchard advised that agencies in the State Program will have access to a web based software program being contracted by POST Agencies will be required to pay only $100 per year for updates and support.State Accreditation:
January 10th several agencies were accredited for the State Program. Reminder that there is no summer meetings for approval of agencies, and therefore agencies wishing to receive state accreditation must submit their files etc as soon as possible, Deadline for May meeting is March 15th. Ray Bouchard advised that agencies should plan on 30-45 days in advance of meeting to submit paperwork.Next meeting is scheduled for March 9th at 9:30 a.m. at POST.
