TOPICS DISCUSSED

• CALEA/STATE Video Update: Plans being made to revise and update the CALEA video as well as create a State version as well.  Looking for volunteers to work on a committee on the project.
• Training: Looking to bring in or seek training opportunities for members. Discussion on possibly partnering with other groups. FBINAA is hosting Gordon Graham on May 29th.   PAC to investigate partnering with FBINAA. If this can be worked out, this would serve as the May meeting.
• Ted LeMay - State Accreditation program Coordinator & Accreditation Manager for POST
  • Interested in completing the help file for State program. Asking for copies of State ISSR's be forwarded to Ted to assist in preparing the work file.
  • Discussed types and number of proofs needed for State program
  • Discussed N/A by Size issue for CALEA agencies seeking State Accreditation.
• TRAINING POWERPOINT: Cindy Sullivan prepared and presented a PowerPoint on the Accreditation process and file preparation.
• COMPUTER MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE/PROGRAMS FOR STATE/CALEA: Discussed various options used for tracking the state accreditation process. Online system by NTD Consulting used by Wilton PD.  Discussed ISYS and MINTECH search tools for locating reports needed for documentation. Board will attempt to have one or more of these programs come to future meeting for presentation.
