Secretary Report: Minutes accepted as submitted

CALEA

• Onsites: UCONN Police reported their onsite went well.
• Information received is that the Fifth Edition Standards were approved at the CALEA Conference, however, no information has been made available and the CALEA website had not been updated.
  

STATE ACCREDITATION

• Equipment can be purchased and filming will begin on state accreditation video.
• Monroe will be presented for state accreditation at POST Council meeting on January 4th.
• Training planned for late February/Early March for Accreditation Managers; Chiefs and Assessors
• One day conference being planned. Tentatively scheduled for late May at UNH.
• Training is being given to all new recruits on both State and CALEA accreditation.
• New standards will be presented to POST Council for approval in March. Agencies would have one year to convert.

MISCELLANEOUS

• Mock Onsites: Branford - Jan 23; Farmington - Jan 30; Norwalk - Feb 2; Wethersfield - Feb 9. Ray Bouchard is still looking for additional volunteer assessors for all sites except Farmington.
• EAP/Early Warning System discussed. Also noted was information that NEOA may highlight EAP issues at their one day spring conference. Information will be distributed when it becomes available.

Next meeting, Wednesday, February 1st - 9:30am at   POST (Connecticut Police Academy, Meriden).
