Meeting called to order at 9:30am

Treasurer Report: $2149.50 Balance

Secretary Report: Minutes accepted with revision that location of December meeting should read: "State Capitol".

TOPICS DISCUSSED

Meeting time changed to 10:00am for subsequent meetings

Discussed general implementation of accreditation and issues related to implementation at both state and national level.

Enfield Mock conducted on Jan 8th. Went well. Issue raised related to auditing of cash bonds as part of cash accounting systems.

Waterford Mock scheduled for February 6th

Ted LeMay, (new program consultant and accreditation manager for POST) discussed state program.

Plans to improve and expand accreditation area of POST website

Developed email address for public comments to be used in press releases by agencies prior to state onsites.

Discussed requirement that CALEA agencies will be asked to provide statement annually that they are maintaining compliance with Connecticut specific standards.

Made powerpoint presentation on Accreditation Workbook/Help File he is working on which will then be made available to accreditation managers and assessors to assure that everyone is aware of the proofs required for each standard. Information will include ideas on file maintenance, highlighting, and specific proofs for both initial and re-accreditations. Looking to have substantial progress made by April 1st. but is requesting assistance in compiling this information. Interested parties should email him, and he will forward standards to work on. All information would then be compiled into the help file. ted.lemay@po.state.ct.us

Looking to standardize ISSR for state program.

Notes that agencies beginning the process for Tier I, should not write policies in vacuum and should review both Tier II and Tier III as new policies being written can include references to future issues which would need addressing in higher Tiers.

Tentative date for CALEA onsite for Training Academy is December 2007.

File review and discussion of problem files and issues brought to meeting by various members.

Meeting concluded at 11:00am.
