MEETING MINUTES

PRESENT: Avon, Capitol, CCSU, CSP, Enfield, Farmington, Granby, Guilford, Manchester, Middletown, New Canaan, Norwalk, UCONN

Meeting called to order at 9:40 am.

Treasurer’s Report:

Current balance is $882.65.

Secretary’s Report:

Minutes of last meeting accepted.

Old Business:

State Accreditation: Committee meeting scheduled June 22 at 10:30 at Capitol. Discussion to set up onsites etc for prospective agencies. Noted that POST may resubmit bill to fund State program next legislative session.

CALEA Conference Hartford: Committee (DC Bouchard/ Lt. Agnesi/Col Bardelli/ Lt. Kulhawik) met with Hartford Convention Visitors Bureau.  Preliminary plans have been formulated by Convention Bureau and proposal submitted to CALEA. PAC issued letter of support for July 2004 conference in Hartford. Formal proposal to be made at St Louis conference, and DC Bouchard will be in attendance. If receive bid, committees to be formed to begin planning.  PAC members advised to meet with Chiefs to advise and discuss plans for support as it will require assistance from both Accredited, State Certified and non-accredited agencies to showcase Connecticut Law Enforcement.

Police Day At Capitol: Thanks to Sophie King and Linda Carlin for staffing CONN-PAC table at Police Day.

New Business:

MMSC to investigate purchasing CONN-PAC banner.  Det Tracy Enns volunteered to investigate.

St Louis CALEA Conference: No issues presented for conference.

Meeting Adjourned at 10:50 pm

Next meeting scheduled for September, 2001 - Time and Location TBD.
