Meeting called to order at 11:08
Jamey Harris from the Office of Victim Services for the State of Connecticut spoke to group regarding services and resources offered by the OVS pertaining to training for Police and Community Groups as well as publications, posters and other informational brochures available from the OVS. Ms. Harris also discussed a Victim Need's Assessment that they hope to complete. Once completed, they will contact PAC to make information available for use in files pertaining to Victim/Witness standards.Regular Business Suspended to allow for guest speaker
Treasurers Report: Current account balance is $1,355.40
Secretarys Report: Minutes accepted from May meeting.
State Accreditation
Chief Whalen discussed status of State Accreditation Program. Hope to have Director etc in place by September.
D.C. Bouchard responded to CALEA on behalf of the PAC regarding new standards. Also noted that comments posted on website regarding the new Missing Person Standard are overwhelmingly against creation of new standard.Standards Discussion
Police Day At the Capitol on Wednesday, May 21, 2003
Chief Whalen reported that Police Day at Capitol was not well attended, and is examining whether to continue in 2004.Membership Rosters

There were no nominations for officers, and current officers have agreed to continue for another year.NEW BUSINESS
CONNPAC Plan and Goals
Linda Carlin and Cindy Sullivan discussed long term plans for the PAC. They distributed information and sample borchure and Bylaws for members to review. Changes or corrections are asked to be forwarded to Cindy Sullivan. The issues will be discussed in detail at the September meeting, including increasing dues and formalizing committees etc to grow CONNPAC membership and benefits of membership.
