CALEA

• Hartford Convention and Visitors Bureau discussing a bid for July 2009 CALEA conference.   State Police, Hartford Police and CONNPAC would be involved in planning and organization.
• Ted Lemay - Program Manager for CALEA attending meeting and made detailed presentation on the changeover to the Fifth Edition Standards and field questions from membership. Fifth Edition is effective July 1, 2006 and the transition must be complete by October 1, 2007.
• Several Connecticut agencies will be attending July CALEA conference for Accreditation and Reaccredidation.

STATE ACCREDITATION

• Job Posting upcoming for POST accreditation position.
• Ridgefield and Capitol Police upcoming for State Accreditation.

MISCELLANEOUS

• PAC Dues assessment being distributed.
• POST conducting new Job Task Analysis for Entry Level and Supervisor positions.
• Ray Bouchard announced that he has accepted a new position with POST as Director of Basic Training and therefore must step down as CONNPAC President.  The PAC acknowledged him for his work in bringing the State Program to fruition as well as his work and leadership of CONNAPC as President for many years. VP Tina Barrows will chair the remainder of the meetings for 2006.
