Mock On Sites
New Canaan requesting mock on Tuesday, April 29, 2003

State Accreditation
Committee meeting scheduled for March 21, 2003.

The Byrne Grant has been approved. It is a four year grant, providing $140,000 each year to fund the program. The program is before the legislature to be run under POST. The goal is to advertise for the position to administer the program and have it up and running by July 1, 2003.

CALEA Conference Orlando: Deputy Chief Bouchard will bring up issue of ISSR's requested from agencies providing support services.

Standards Discussion:

46.1.11 Incident Command System – Sue McQuay from Manchester PD shared sample Orders from other PD’s.

46.1.2 Response to disasters – May use RED Plans (established by regions in the state) but make sure officers are familiar with procedures and it is actually used.

Restated that although State mandate for Racial Profiling Statistics ended December 31st, Accredited agencies need to continue the process or a similar process to comply with CALEA standards.

April On Site: Farmington Police Department is scheduled for their 4th onsite which will take place from April 12th through the 16th. Team leader is Wayne McCoy of Blue Springs, MO. Public call in is scheduled on April 14, 2003 from 1 to 4 p.m. , phone line number 860-675-2439. Public Hearing is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Farmington P.D. in the Community Training Room.

CONNPAC ROSTER UPDATE: Cindy Sullivan, UCONN PD, has received a number of responses. Anyone who has not submitted a response may fax her at 860-486-2430 or send info via email.

Sgt. Peter Zaksewicz of Shelton P.D. has joined us and will be working to get his agency accredited.

NNEPAC Accreditation Training: DC Bouchard brought a copy of brochure announcing Law Enforcement Accreditation Training Conference to be conducted in May in New Hampshire for anyone who may be interested in attending.
