TOPICS DISCUSSED

• Training: Gordon Graham presentation on May 29th, hosted by the FBINAA is $75 per person. PAC budget will not allow us to pay for attendance of members. Cliff Scharf arranging for Risk Management Training presentation at May meeting.
• MINETECH Presentation: Kenn Devane, provided the group with a presentation and demonstration of MINETECH search software. Search Incite can be modified to be used in Accreditation compliance, investigation, and other law enforcement related applications, including creating a modeling application to screen recruits. Mr. Devane prepared PowerPoint presentation and provided actual examples using several of the CALEA standards and sample reports provided by Ridgefield PD. Mr. Devane is interested in working with CONNPAC and/or departments in working on this project. Contact is is kdevane@minetech.com.
• ACCREDITATION SURVEY: Sgt. Gary Charette of the Granby Police Department spoke before the group to introduce a survey to be distributed to accredited departments. Sgt. Charette is completing his master's and will be using the survey as part of his program. The 10 page survey will be mailed to all state and CALEA accredited departments. He is hoping for a very high return rate.
• Connecticut State Police CALEA Onsite Assessment is scheduled for April with public forum on April 14th.
