State Accreditation: Committee will be meeting to work on business plan. Investigating sources for funding. Working towards an Executive Director position to oversee state process.

CALEA has decided to use the terms "CALEA Recognition Program", and "Alliance Program" for alliance between state programs and CALEA. Working on logo and completing sample contracts. ASAP and manual to be adjusted to correlate with core standards. Late summer implementation.

Burlington Conference: Reminder to book rooms early for November CALEA conference in Burlington, VT. Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center (802) 865-6600.

SCHAUMBURG, IL CONFERENCE: Anyone planning to attend conference is asked to contact Deputy Chief Ray Bouchard as a representative from PAC is needed to attend PAC President's Meeting at Illinois CALEA conference. 

New Business
ON SITE REPORTS: Farmington discussed their recently completed CALEA on site assessment. Deputy Chief Bouchard and Chief Whalen discussed on sites they conducted for CALEA.

ASSESSOR PROBLEM: Discussion on problem of some CALEA assessors improperly referring to commentary and/or applying personal department policies to agencies they are assessing.  Issue to be raised again at Burlington conference. 

JUNE MEETING & BBQ LUNCHEON: June meeting changed to June 7th at 11:00am. BBQ luncheon will follow meeting at State Capitol, LOB. Free for first PAC agency member.   Additional members or guests $5.00. Must contact Chief Mike Whalen, Capitol Police, by May 31st to reserve spot.  Limited to approximately 50 people due to space constraints. Note meeting date moved to June 7th.
