Meeting called to order at 11:00 am.

Treasurer’s Report:

Current balance is $686.65. Only activity from prior report was a $4.00 service charge.

Secretary’s Report:

Minutes of last meeting accepted with correction changing "meting" to meeting.

Old Business:

State Accreditation:

1. The Bill was not approved and instead sent to appropriations. Appears that it will not be acted on, and therefore the recommendation will be made to have CPCA reinstate the original program and sign agreement with CALEA and certify those agencies that have been pending.

On-Sites:

1. Enfield Police - Reported on their April onsite.
2. Glastonbury Police - Reported on their April onsite.

New Business:

1. CALEA Conference in Connecticut: Received contact from Greater Hartford Convention Bureau regarding Hartford hosting a CALEA conference in 2004. After discussion, PAC agreed to explore possibility by meeting with both Convention Bureau and obtaining additional information from CALEA. Matter will be further discussed at the June CONNPAC meeting after the meetings and additional information is obtained. Hosting conference would require large commitment from all agencies in CONNPAC. Subcommittee will meet with Convention Bureau the week of the 21st of May.

 

Police Day: May 16^th at State Capitol. CONNPAC to have a table with personnel to explain process. Additional personnel needed to assist at table   10am - 2pm.

JUNE WILL BE FINAL MEETING BEFORE SUMMER. NO MEETINGS IN JULY OR AUGUST
