MEETING MINUTES

ATTENDEES: Berlin, Branford, Capitol, CCSU, CSP, Granby, Greenwich, Judicial Marshal Service, Manchester,  Meriden,  New Canaan, Norwalk, POSTC, Ridgefield, Stratford, Trumbull, UCONN, West Haven, Wilton

Meeting called to order at 11:05

SECRETARY REPORT: Minutes accepted as submitted.

TREASURERS REPORT: Balance $2325.09 

OLD BUSINESS:

VIDEO: CALEA video is complete, and is being edited.  Should be available for the January meeting. Production of the state Accreditation Video is now in progress as well.

ELECTIONS: PAC elections will be held in January 2005.  Nominations will be taken at the December meeting.

Hartford Conference Bid: Presentation will be made at Austin Coneference. Edmonton backed out of bid, however, Seattle and Montreal have submitted bids as well. Should know decision by December CONNPAC meeting.

NEW BUSINESS

CALEA ONSITE: Meriden discussed their onsite- They expect to be presented for award at Austin Conference.

STATE ACCREDITATION:
Avon submitted the eight standard files and CALEA report for review by POSTC for State Accreditation. State onsites were also conducted in Newtown and Simsbury.

23 departments are involved in the State Accreditation program thus far.

Assessor training is scheduled for Monday November 15th. 31 people are signed up for the training. Another Chief's orientation will be scheduled after January 1st.

Next meeting scheduled for Thursday, December 9, 2004 @9:30am @ POST - Meriden
