Mock On Sites
Assessor Problem: Department's are having difficulty in obtaining assessors to come in to conduct mock onsites. This has been especially problematic for Southwestern area departments where few accredited agencies are in close proximity. This has been compounded during this current period as there are an above normal number of agencies preparing for CALEA onsites. The PAC is looking for ways to address this problem. One area that would assist, is for each accredited agency, or agency that is preparing for CALEA accreditation to submit their Accreditation Manager to the PAC for use in mocks. Some agencies have not cooperated as much as others, and to properly assist all CONNPAC members, more Accreditation Managers must make themselves available for mock onsites.

Scheduling: To better prepare for mock onsites. Agencies are asked to contact  Christina Barrow, Avon PD with their reaccreditation dates. The PAC can then prepare a complete schedule to attempt to better prepare and schedule mock onsites.

General Info: The above steps, combined with the previous discussion concerning a plan and program for agencies undergoing mocks and onsites should assist in better scheduling and assisting CONNPAC members.  Further discussion to be held at the November meeting on this issue.

CALEA OnSites: Agencies due for onsites this December should email Ray Bouchard, rbouchard@enfield.org with their dates of public hearings so that a schedule can be prepared and arrangements made for representatives of the PAC to attend public hearings of each agency being assessed.  

State Accreditation
Working to obtain grant to cover costs and implement program July 2003. Alliance application put on hold until POST situation has been worked out. No change as yet. Monroe scheduled for onsite for State Accred on October 29, 2002. Dave Watkins to lead team. Members to be selected to assist.
