CALEA

• New England PAC hosting a regional meeting of executive board members in Auburn, Mass on October 25th to discuss issues with CALEA.  Executive Board and Ray Bouchard will be attending.

STATE ACCREDITATION

• N/A

MISCELLANEOUS

• PAC Dues ($50) have been received from most agencies. Updated list will be forthcoming of those still outstanding.
• November Elections: Elections will be held in November for PAC positions. Nominations will be made in October.
• Mock onsite for Berlin went well. Glastonbury mock onsite scheduled for Oct 30th and Avon scheduled for Oct 23rd. Members who are available to assist should contact Linda Carlin carlinl@farmington-ct.org or 860-675-2426.
• PAC Meeting & Survey: PAC attempting to improve quality and information presented at monthly meetings. Survey results indicate that additional training is requested during the monthly meetings. Meetings will be moved to various host departments throughput the state who will also provide training on state or CALEA issues. Training ideas suggested:

(Homeland Security - CALEA 5th Edition - Accreditation Manager Training - All Hazard Plan - CEO Training - Process training involving policy, resources, file maintenance, pitfalls encountered, mock panel, assessor notes & info).

December meeting tentatively scheduled as the annual Holiday Luncheon at the Capitol.

Next meeting - November 1 - 9:30am - POST - Meriden. Agencies are asked to bring problem standards for state or CALEA which can be shared and discussed as the initial training.
