CALEA

• New England PAC hosting a regional meeting of executive board members in Auburn, Mass on October 25th to discuss issues with CALEA.  Executive Board and Ray Bouchard will be attending.
• Lexington Conference seemed well attended. Several CT departments (5) were represented for Accreditation or Reaccredittation.  SRIC discussed the issues related to TASER training and determined that annual training INCLUDING actual firing of the TASER is required.

STATE ACCREDITATION

• POST accreditation position received many applicants. Pool will be reduced and top candidates will be interviewed. Hope to have position filled by November/December.
• Watertowm and Wolcott are pending Tier I onsites.

MISCELLANEOUS

• PAC Dues assessment being distributed. Check to assure your department has paid.
• November Elections: Elections will be held in November for PAC positions. Interested candidates asked to contact executive board member.
• Survey prepared by Cindy Sullivan concerning PAC meetings, training issues, etc... Please complete survey which was sent and forward to Cindy by email or fax.
• Mock onsites for Berlin and Glastonbury upcoming. Berlin is scheduled for September 27th. Glastonbury to be scheduled ASAP.
