Veteran’s Memorial Park and Marina
Situated on 35 acres, and includes a marina and boat launch site, a playground, bicycle, and jogging paths, basketball courts, soccer, hockey, and football fields, baseball diamonds, visitor docks with full power available, a boating center, and marina. The park also includes a walk esplanade overlooking scenic Norwalk Harbor. At the Marina, boat slips that can accommodate up to 20’ boats along with dinghy slips are also available for those with harbor moorings.
Calf Pasture Beach and Shady Beach
There’s so much to do here everyday!
Baseball/softball, volleyball, skate park, playground, refreshing splash pad, sun and sand sports, the sailing school, bocce, basketball, and 3/4 of a mile of scenic coastline with tremendous views. There are also special events scheduled all season long ranging from classic car shows to fabulous free concerts! Enjoy a casual meal of beachy food, or try the delicious fresh seafood at Ripka’s. Always fresh and served with a smile!
The park’s expansive 227 acres offers a series of wooded trails and a dog-friendly environment in the orchard. The Great Lawn presents a dramatic backdrop to wedding receptions and festivals all year long. The park also features a challenging 18-hole Disc Golf Course that winds in and out of the woods.
You’ll find two museums, an arts center, a fantastic playground, tennis courts, picnic areas, and a historic cemetery as well as the historic Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum.
Ryan Park has been improved recently with new playground structures, basketball courts, a splash pad, walking paths, and landscaping.
In 1979, the City of Norwalk developed Springwood Ely Park, improving the land by installing tennis courts and a ball field. The 4 tennis courts were updated in 2018.
Taylor Farm Dog Park is located on 4.5 acres of property. Situated near the beloved Calf Pasture Beach and directly across from Shady Beach Park, this much-loved dog play haven offers two areas where dogs are invited to engage in off-leash activity.
Oyster Shell Park provides Norwalk residents and all visitors a unique place from which to view the Norwalk Harbor and both waterfronts east and west of the Norwalk River.
