Three Steps to Stop the Spread

Keep Physical Distance

Keep 6 feet from people outside your household. Avoid large gatherings.

Wear Face Coverings in Public

Wear a mask or cloth face covering in public spaces, especially when it’s hard to keep a safe physical distance (for example, in grocery stores and public transit). Make sure your mask fits properly.

Follow Travel Advisories

To help slow spread of COVID-19 from other areas in the US, state officials encourage people to avoid travel into Connecticut from states with high rates of COVID-19.

On June 24, the State of Connecticut issued a Travel Advisory for travel within the United States. Travelers entering Connecticut from a state that has high rates of COVID-19* should self-quarantine for 14 days. This includes CT residents who travel to an impacted state and return home.

This advisory addresses travel within the United States, but there are also recommendations around international travel. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) also recommends a 14-day quarantine when returning from international travel or cruises.

*Impacted states have a new daily positive test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents or a state with a 10% or higher positivity rate over a 7-day rolling average. The list of states impacted is updated regularly. Check the CT Travel Advisory page for an updated list.
