The applications for appeal must be downloaded, dated, signed and returned to the Assessor's office by close of business on Friday, March 18, 2022, 4:30 pm. in order for your appeals appointment to be honored.
USPS POSTMARK OF 3/18/2022 IS NOT ACCEPTABLE
Hearing dates for the Board of Assessment Appeals will be held in the month of April.
Assessing records are available at any time online at www.norwalkct.org and through http://gis.vgsi.com/NorwalkCT/Search.aspx.
The Vision website has been updated with the 2020 Grand List.
FUNCTIONS:
The tax assessor for Norwalk discovers, lists, and values all taxable and exempt property in the City of Norwalk.
Information Services
Property record cards, public access terminals, tax maps reflecting property boundaries, the city's street index, and Norwalk's sales indices are all available for public access.
Self-made copies cost $0.50 or $1.00 per page. Staff-made copies and requests for fax services cost $1 per page. The aforementioned indices are also available for purchase. This office will also provide custom-made computer files for the cost to fulfill the request.
