What we do: 


The Zoning Commission regulates the use of land within the city by:
  • Preparing, adopting, and amending the Building Zone Regulations and the Building Zone Map so as to control and direct the use and development of property
  • Reviewing and deciding upon applications for special permits, site plan review, and coastal site plan.
  • Acting upon applications for motor vehicle dealer or repairer licenses

How to Apply:

Prior to submitting any application, you are strongly encouraged to first review the details of your proposal with the Principal Planner. 

Please consult with the Planner for up-to-date application requirements related to virtual teleconference meetings during COVID.

Zoning Commission Meetings and Membership Information:


The Zoning Commission meets twice per month, typically at 6:00PM on the 1st Thursday and 3rd Wednesday of the month.
