The Transfer Station Hours are:
Monday to Friday:7:00 am - 3:00 pm
Saturday:7:00 am - 2:00 pm
All Residential and Commercial Vehicles entering the Norwalk Transfer Station or the Norwalk Yard Waste Site, MUST have a valid City of Norwalk permit.
Residents and Commercial Vehicles that dump without a valid permit, will have to pay
a minimum of $20.
All residential vehicles (cars, minivans, or SUVs) entering the Norwalk Transfer Station or the Yard Debris Site are required to have a valid City of Norwalk Recreation and Parks Resident Pass displayed on their dashboard.
Residential vehicles without a current pass will not be allowed to enter either facility. Non-commercial pickup trucks, vans, and cars with trailers require a Residential Permit (card).
Commercial Transfer Station Permit & Renewal
Commercial Permits and renewal for the Transfer Station are available at City Hall 125 East Avenue by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, call (203) 854-7831.
Please be advised that any residential vehicle dumping without a City of Norwalk Recreations and Parks Resident Pass will have to pay a fee of $20 per dump.
Any pickup truck, van, or vehicle pulling a trailer that does not have a Residential Permit (card) will have to pay either $20 or the tip fee for the material, whichever is higher. Proof of residency is required.
