Winter (January 7, 2019 to March 31, 2019)


Monday-Friday: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: CLOSED
Site may CLOSE due to Winter Weather and at the discretion of the Department of Public Works.


Spring/Summer/Fall (April 1, 2019 TO December 21, 2019)


Monday - Friday:  7:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Saturday:  7:30 AM to 2:00 PM
Sunday:  CLOSED

Scale is CLOSED for Lunch from approximately 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM (Monday-Friday).


Yard Waste Site


Last years resident pass expires March 31st. You must get a new Resident pass before you will be allowed to dump. Please be advised that any residential vehicle dumping without a City of Norwalk Recreations and Parks Resident Pass will have to pay either $20 or the tip fee for the material, whichever is higher.

Payment of check or charge only, cash is not accepted at the Transfer Station or Yard Waste Site.

Any pickup truck, van, or vehicle pulling a trailer that does not have a permit will have to pay either $20 or the tip fee for the material, whichever is higher. Proof of residency is required. For more information on fees contact Customer Service at (203) 854-3200.

Christmas Tree Collection



Residents who receive City Services will receive Christmas Tree collection during the month of January 2020.
PLEASE NO Decoration, Lights, Stands, etc.

Trees will be collected twice during the month of January 2020:
  • January 6, 2020 - January 10, 2020
  • January 13, 2020 - January 17, 2020
Please, have trees curbside by 6 AM on the MONDAY of the above collection weeks.
